Sydney day 3

Today I woke up to a new realization that I really don't mind being away from home that much.  I have always thought that I was all talk about leaving the Alabama to go find a job elsewhere and to start a new life wherevere that may be.  Today I took a new breath of fresh air when I thought about how I really could get used to being.... well.... me.  This is a pretty dang good feeling.

After taking our test we finally had a couple of hours to ouselves which we took full advatnage of.  We went straight to the closest food place and I ate the heck out of a pizza that was probably the best pizza I have ever had in quite some time.

After our eating adventure we headed back to meet up with the professors and took a train ride to the sydney Olympic Park.  It was very cool seeing all the designs that were viewed as some of the most modern designs back in 2000.  Looking back at this olympic park really makes you realize how moderization and looks/what looks best is constantly changing!

After the visit to the Olympic park we took a long ride on a ferry to Circular Quay to Manly beach.  The ride was extremely scenic and I was able to capture a few pretty cool pictures on the way there.  When we arrived at Manly beach we all lost our breath.  The beach was absolutely gorgeous and the the people were extremely nice.  We were trying to find some people to team up with on New Years but it turns out that all the locals hide away from all the tourist and enjoy themselves at a friends house which we were not welcome to join along.  I don't blame them from not inviting us all needless to say.  Manly really reminded me of a Seaside with its very nice houses and modern looking bars and pubs all around.  We found a very cool bar to rest and have a few drinks at... It was one of the most amazing days I've ever had in my life.  Great weather, sunshine, good company, cold beer, great food, and a wonderful view.  I'm very lucky.
