Sydney day 4

What an incredible new year it has been!!

So the morning of new years eve was a pretty fun one.  We went to the Sydney Aquarium and was blow away by all of the different types of fish they had.  Now, I'm not saying that this Aquarium beats the Georgia Aquriam... We walked around for a few hours staring at all of the different fish and I must have had some pretty high expectations for this trip because I was somewhat dissapointed!  Where are all the deadly jellyfish?!  Where are the great white sharks?!  haha... I know that the great white shark would be near impossible to keep in an aquarium but I can't say I wasn't looking out for something that could strike out and cause death within a few short seconds.  Turned out they didn't have any of the deadliest creatures but who cares... I'm in Sydney!

From the moment I woke up all I could think about what NEW YEARS EVE!  I have seen pictures, heard Sydney was one of the most exciting places to be when the clock struck midnight and a new year was added to the ol' book of life.... Turns out it was exactly that.  I had a blast.  What did we do for new years?  Well I'll will tell you but first you have to realize that I have never imagined me being on a street for New Years.  I have always been in a bar, at a friends house, or asleep... So, we left our dorms around 3pm to try and find a place to sit in the middle of the Sydney Botanical Gardens but when we got there we were sad to find out that the park had been closed due to it being over crowded.  We asked around to try and get the best advice on where else we could go and found a spot that I will remember for a lifetime.  Before I continue I just wanted to say that I watched this play called UrineTown with my dad a few months ago and never thought that I would ever have to pay to pee.  Turns out you have to pay to pee in some of their streets.  Anyways,  we finally found a place to park our butts (this one particular curb looked really comfy).  When we first arrived we decided that we were going to sit on a CURB in the middle of a crowded street with police all around with bottles of wine ready to welcome in the new year with us.  We met a few great people and I had the time of my life.
