So this day came out of nowhere haha! We all decided to head to the Gold Coast after a few months of procrastination. We actaully did not book our place until the morning of getting to the Gold Coast but everything turned out so smooth you would think we had everything planned a year in advance. So we woke up pretty early on our free day to HOP on a bus, SKIP on to a train then JUMP onto another bus to arrive at our destination (we got there in a hop skip and a jump if you didn't catch that). Our destination you ask? The Trilogy at Surfer's Paradise. We managed to only pay around 100 bucks to grab one 3 bedroom and a 2 Bedroom condo. We opened the door and realized that we have spoiled ourselves with these rooms. They were as big as the condos my parents rent out when we USED go to the beach over the summer. Pretty amazing. Soon after we got into our rooms we all decided it was time to head to grab a bite to eat. The name of the place we ate escapes me right now but it was funny to see the "Roll Tide/War Eagle" Documentary on ESPN playing on an adjeacent television. After we ate we took a stroll to look at the beach then to the grocery store and bought some food to cook out later that night. After we got back we all cracked open a beer and began to prepare dinner! We each paid about 6 bucks each for dinner which turned our great!!
P.S. - while we were at dinner the person at the front desk had called us to let us know that we had 10 - 50 dollar passes for a night club that was downtown. We gladly accepted them to say the least.
After dinner we all were feeling like going out to the bar for a drink. To make a long story short... One of the drinks that someone got was 40 dollars. We quickly left. I can't wait to get to the beach
tomorrow. We all have heard nothing but great things about this place!
