Today was a bit slow but still pretty exciting. We traveled to the Brisbane airport, got on a plane and headed to Melbourne. The flight was a pretty relaxing flight (about a 2.5hr flight) which was nice. I Had time to sneak a quick nap in before we landed! After arriving in Melbourne we got a few taxis and headed to our place. We are staying at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the places do not have air conditioning but have turned out to the nicest place we have stayed at besides that one weekend we all went to the Gold Coast. I after a couple of hours of getting all of our luggage settled into the new place we got back together and headed downtown for a walk. It was extremely nice and Federation Square was very cool. We actually were told to find a place to sit around Federation Square while our teacher went off to some unknown location but he came back with tickets for all of us to see two matches of the Australian Open. I am not a big fan of tennis matches but I was pretty pumped to know I was going to be able to see Federer and Wozniacki in action. Anyways so after we all got the tickets we headed down and walked through the city’s botanical gardens which was pretty nice. I used to always think that Birmingham Alabama had a great botanical garden area but this blew our out of the water. After a long walk we were all starving as we normally are and decided to splurge a little bit on dinner. We headed downtown and I walked in a few shops asking where the best places were to eat and heard of this place called Jeremy’s Café. We headed over the café which was in a brick paved ally and had an incredible dinner. We had so much fun there and our tab was 422$ split between all of us! Tomorrow, we are getting in a van to head out to see the 12 apostles! I’ll let ya know how it turns out!
