Day 8 Melbourne - Last day here / MCG

Our last day in Melbourne?!  Where the heck has the time gone.  I guess these abroad trips are kind of like life…. The closer you get to the end the faster time goes by.  I read an article somewhere that life seems slower when you are going through extreme learning periods such as learning a new language, learning how to walk, all the way to learning what is hot and cold and how to form relationships with others.  I find this to be turning out pretty true.  Anyways, so I will miss Melbourne the most out of all the cities so far.

We woke up and went over to the Melbourne Cricket Grounds for a tour.  The MCG is a huge deal.  Just as big of a deal (in sports) as Fenway Park is to baseball.  So our tour guide was a 77 year old man named Robert.  He grew up in Melbourne and was huge fan of cricket.  He knew everything about the game as well as the MCG.  He kept all of our attention and was a great tour guide.  After the tour we ate and headed back to the hotel where we met with our professors to discuss our progress on our thesis.  Overall, it has beeen a great day and can not wait to head to New Zealand tomorrow!
